The Acura NSX Designed with purpose for optimum performance. Psst... It's Fast!

573 Horsepower ... Really Fast!

True Supercar Performance

From the green light to the checkered flag, the 2019 Acura NSX Sport Hybrid flawlessly executes its mandate: to be the best.

The NSX's performance originates from a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 gas-powered engine with 500 horsepower and 406 lb.-ft. of torque, along with blisteringly fast shifts from a 9-speed Dual Clutch Transmission.

As if that wasn't enough, one Direct Drive motor and two electric motors are added, totalling 573hp and 476 lb.-ft. of torque. The result? superb SH-AWD handling and true supercar performance.

A One-Two Power Punch

By combining a refined internal combustion engine with advanced hybrid electric technology, the Acura NSX has become the standard by which all others are measured. Wouldn't you know it, all others fall short.

Dual independent electric motors at the front axle act in all driving situations - accelerating, braking, or in Torque Vectoring to rotate the car based on the driver's inputs.

At the heart of the Sport Hybrid system is an Intelligent Power Unit with lithium-ion batteries to fuel the electric motors. Batteries are recharged through normal vehicle operation so power is there when you command it.

Through cognizant design, the IPU is placed behind the seats to lower the center of gravity, centralize the vehicle mass, and achieve perfect weigth distribution.

Precision Handling

Some cars go fast in a straight line and others are designed for optimum handling. The 2019 Acura NSX? It can do both.

A Direct Drive Motor tucked between the twin-turbo V6 and its DCT transmission adds torque and power to the rear wheels. That's most beneficial at launch from a standstill. While other turbocharged motors are notorious for lag at low RPMs, the Direct Drive Motor drives the crankshaft directly for high-torque, high-output acceleration that shaves valuable tenths off its 0-to-60mph time.

And when you arrive at a corner, dual electric motors and advanced technology help you hold the most speed into and out of the turn. The most extensive Integrated Dynamics System in combination with the NSX's Twin Motor Unit (TMU) give this supercar precision handling that can't be beat.
