It’s a gearbox that creates faster shift times for better acceleration without lag between gears. There’s no clutch pedal to operate – it’s all internal in the transmission. Two clutches operate alternating gears so the next one up or down is always ready to go. For example, one operates first, third, fifth, seventh and reverse gears while the other operates second, fourth, sixth, and eighth gears.
