What’s Covered Under Acura Care Packages? If you’ve been a driver for any length of time, or if your parents had cars when you were growing up, you know that problems can happen from time to time. Some can be just pesky little issues while others are expensive to fix. What’s true for all car problems is that they interrupt your routine and throw a curveball in your budget. Luckily, there’s an Acura Care plan for that. But what does Acura Care cover?
What is Acura Care? You’ve heard of extended warranties before, but Acura Care is more than that. It’s a vehicle service contract that goes beyond your expectations. Acura Care plans are available in four levels: New Vehicle Coverage – it’s an Acura Care plan that can be purchased along with your new vehicle. Pre-Owned Vehicle Coverage – vehicles still under manufacturer warranty can be covered with a pre-owned vehicle plan, adding peace of mind beyond the original warranty expiration. Certified Additional Coverage – Acura Certified Pre-Owned vehicles are eligible for this additional coverage, even after the new vehicle warranty coverage has lapsed. Powertrain Coverage for pre-owned vehicles – for pre-owned vehicles, a no-frills powertrain coverage plan is available that takes care of major components only.
What Does Acura Care Cover? The component list covered by Acura Care is extensive. New, Pre-Owned and Certified Additional Coverage plans include items such as steering and suspension repairs, electronic coverage, most leaks, drive train components and even Geniune Acura accessories. For Powertrain Coverage plans, the engine, transmission, drive axle, and seals and gaskets are covered.
What Does Acura Care Cover Beyond Repairs?Acura Care vehicle service contracts also include many other benefits. If your vehicle needs to be repaired, you could be eligible for:
- Rental Car Reimbursement if you need wheels while your car is in the shop.
- Roadside Assistance, with some plans offering Family Plans.
- Trip Interruption Benefit if you break down away from home.
- 24/7 Concierge Emergency Services to help you keep in contact amid trouble.
- And more.
